Role and Responsibilities
As a Mechanical Technical Engineer at AIL, you will play a key role in standardizing, coordinating, and streamlining all mechanical functions. Your responsibilities will include:
- Technical Oversight: Verify the technical correctness of Std. Process, Std. Fabricated & Package PRs to ensure compliance with guidelines and codes.
- Material & Service Sourcing: Rationalize engineering material & service sourcing, contributing to cost-effective and efficient procurement processes.
- Reliability and Maintenance: Lead initiatives to enhance maintenance practices, reduce/optimize steam consumption, monitor boiler efficiency, and increase condensate recovery.
- Team Collaboration: Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) of critical breakdowns, provide technical support to Operations/MOC team, and contribute to Zonal/inter-functional activities.
- Training: Facilitate training sessions for the team on the latest technological changes and contribute to the development of in-house facilities for maintenance activities.
- Safety and Compliance: Brainstorm and implement actionable plans for zero incidents, ensuring adherence to preventive maintenance activities.
Skills and Competencies
- Technical proficiency in mechanical engineering.
- Familiarity with steam performance, boiler efficiency, and maintenance practices.
- Strong problem-solving and RCA skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
