Position Details
Position: Assistant Manager / Manager – Formulation & Development (OSD)
Experience: 10–15 Years (Formulation R&D – OSD)
Qualification: M. Pharm / Ph.D
Type: Full-Time
Location: Ahmedabad
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Technical Leadership
• Drive strategy for adopting and implementing new formulation technologies for regulated markets
• Conduct literature searches, RLD comparisons, and develop non-infringing formulation strategies
Product & Process Development
• Develop oral solids, oral liquids, and semi-solid formulations
• Design and execute R&D and pilot scale manufacturing processes
• Lead formulation trials, review lab notebooks, and ensure compliant documentation
Documentation & Compliance
• Prepare and review product development reports, SOPs, study protocols, and lab records
• Perform and review risk assessments:
– Elemental impurities
– Nitrosamines
– Environmental risk assessment
Cross-Functional Coordination
• Coordinate with F&D, QA, Manufacturing & Project teams for technology transfer
• Collaborate with CROs, testing labs, and manufacturing sites
• Travel as required for client visits and tech transfer activities
Team Leadership
• Lead and mentor formulation scientists
• Manage project timelines and ensure on-time deliverables
• Support HR in recruitment and retention strategies
