Role: Shift In charge – Production
Educational Qualification: B.E Chemical / B.Tech Chemical Engineering
Experience: 4 – 6 Years
Department: Production
Job Purpose:
This position is for Shift In-charge of Plant Operations. The role involves supervising production line operations in accordance with plant policies and procedures. The candidate will ensure smooth production operations during shifts in terms of Productivity, Quality, Safety, and Manpower management.
Key Responsibilities:
Shift Operations Management:
- Supervise and coordinate all production activities during the shift.
- Ensure adherence to production schedules and targets.
- Monitor process parameters and take corrective actions as needed.
Safety & Compliance:
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure system compliance.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and environmental regulations.
Team Supervision:
- Lead and manage shift operators, technicians, and contract workers.
- Allocate manpower and resources efficiently.
- Provide on-the-job training and guidance.
Quality Control:
- Ensure product quality meets specifications.
- Coordinate with QA/QC for in-process and final product testing.
- Address deviations and implement corrective actions.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain shift logs, production reports, and incident records.
- Handover reports to the next shift and attend shift meetings.
- Record downtime, raw material consumption, and yield.
Maintenance Coordination:
- Report equipment issues and coordinate with maintenance teams.
- Support preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.
