Realm operates as an AI-first engineering team, with a focus on high ownership, autonomy, collaboration, and shipping real-world products to production mine sites.

Job Responsibilities

• Build and extend TypeScript backend services supporting real-time mining operations data.
• Develop features end-to-end across databases, APIs, and React interfaces.
• Work on applied AI features using LLMs for analysis and automation.
• Contribute to computer vision pipelines using AWS Rekognition, TensorFlow, and OpenCV.
• Deploy applications to production using CI/CD.
• Interact directly with users and translate operational challenges into product features.
• Work closely with senior engineers and company leadership.

Tech Stack

Backend: TypeScript, Node.js, Prisma, PostgreSQL, GraphQL
Frontend: TypeScript, React
AI/ML: LLMs, AWS Rekognition, TensorFlow, OpenCV
Infrastructure: Docker, Kubernetes, DigitalOcean, AWS

Eligibility & Qualifications

Must-Have Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or a related field, completed or completing in 2025.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and system design.
• Experience with agentic coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor.
• AI-first development approach.
• Comfortable working across the full technology stack.
• Ability to work independently and learn quickly.
• Must be a US citizen or permanent resident based in the US.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Internship experience working on a production codebase.
• Strong TypeScript skills.
• Experience in AI, machine learning, or computer vision.
• Experience working at a startup or fast-paced organization.

Interview Process

1. Engineering Quiz: Approximately 60-minute asynchronous assessment covering code comprehension, bug detection, performance analysis, and system design.
2. Live Coding Interviews: Three 1-hour sessions covering algorithmic problem-solving and simulated development tasks.
3. Behavioral Interview: Interview with senior leadership.
