About the Role

As a Software Engineer on the AI SDK Team, you will help develop and improve Vercel’s TypeScript toolkit for building AI-powered products and agents.

You will work with a remote and distributed engineering team to create a high-quality SDK that enables developers to build AI-native applications and integrate AI capabilities into modern software products.

For employees located within the designated commuting distance of Vercel offices in San Francisco, New York, London or Berlin, the position includes in-office anchor days on Monday, Tuesday and Friday. Employees located outside those commuting distances may work fully remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain the AI SDK.
• Build high-performance and reliable TypeScript-based software.
• Ensure seamless integration between the AI SDK and deployment platform.
• Write clean, efficient and well-documented code.
• Develop comprehensive tests to maintain SDK reliability and stability.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers and infrastructure teams.
